'''Elvis Pummel''' ist ein Musiker und DJ aus [[Dortmund]]. Sein Ausgangspunkt ist die Hommage an unbekannte Künstler und Bands der 1950er und 1960er Jahre wie beispielsweise [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasil_Adkins Hasil Adkins] und der [[Trash]]kultur sowie eine Vorliebe für [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-man_band One-man-Band]s und [[Rockabilly]]

Er spielte in den 1980er Jahren in mehreren Formationen, dessen Mitbegründer er auch war. Zunächst bei den ''Bunkerratten'', danach bei ''Barnyard Blitz'' . Nachdem er 1993 zum [http://www.adamriese.info/wmgitarr.htm schlechtesten Gitarristen Nordrhein-Westfalen] gekürt worden war, nahm er dieses zum Anlass, seine Karriere weiter auszubauen und als charmanter Ein-Man-Performer aufzutreten. Zusätzlich trat er als Moderator (u.a. [http://www.myspace.com/silkysbigshitshow The Big Shit Show] / Auktion der Kunst) und als DJ (Cheap indeed!/BOPLAND Rock'n'Roll Club) im [[Ruhrgebiet]] auf. Unter anderem war er Gast bei [[Klaus Fiehe]] ([[WDR]]) oder auf der internationale Musikmesse POPkomm.

Es erfolgten diverse Veröffentlichungen in Form von Vinyl, CD-Samplerbeiträgen und Filmmusik. Hierbei ist insbesondere das Schweizer Label [[Voodoo Rhythm Records]] (u.a. [[Dead Brothers]], Reverend [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Beat-man2 Beat-Man]) oder [http://www.crazyloverecords.de/ Crazy Love Records] zu erwähnen. Crazy Love Records brachte 2006 eine Anthologie des Künstlers mit 16-seitigem Booklet heraus, unter anderem mit einem Vorwort von [[Götz Alsmann]].

2010 veröffentlichte [http://www.rhythm-island.com/ Rhythm Island Records] eine 10"-Vinyl Split-EP mit den Künstlern Elvis Pummel und der [[Kanada|kanadischen]] Ein-Mann-Band [http://www.bloodshotbill.com/ Bloodshot Bill], der auf Seite A zu hören ist.
